Get Back To Your Best You Through Massage Therapy That Helps Decrease Your Pain And Stress

Too Many People Are Missing Out On What Massage Therapy Can Do To Make Life Better

People who have gotten massages know how wonderful this service is for self care, decreasing stress, and helping people relax. This is only the tip of the ice burg. Massage therapy works on the body’s soft tissues (muscles, ligaments, and tendons) to help people move better with less pain.

Massage is thought to work by bringing blood flow, loosening up the bodies tissues and sending healthy feedback signals to the brain. This will lower pain, help you move better, and decrease muscle spasms. This is why people feel so amazing after a massage, because that tension and pressure sensation that plays a role in your pain experience goes away and is replaced with a feeling of relief.

Meet Our Massage Therapist And Soft Tissue Specialists

Michelle Bliss, LMP

Hello, I am Michelle Bliss, Licensed Massage Therapist.  I began this journey years ago and finally made it a reality in June of 2022 graduating from Navarro College and getting licensed in the State of Texas.

Like many, I have been through various health and physical setbacks.  Through those experiences, I have learned so much and desired to find a way that I could help others to achieve their goals in life as well.

My mission is to provide you and your loved ones with safe, restorative, massage and bodywork optimizing individual balance and healing to body, mind, and soul.  I look forward to meeting and serving you and our community.

Frequently asked questions with massage therapy

Q: What should I expect during my first massage visit?

A: You will out a health history form. They will ask questions to establish which areas you would like focused on, or if there are any specific conditions needing to be addressed. It is important to list all health concerns and medication so that your therapist can adapt your session to your specific needs without causing any harm. It is also important to specify any allergies so that your therapist may adjust the oil or cream being used during your visit. The therapist will then go to make helping you reach your best self.

Q: Can I book only for massage without chiropractic or personal training?

A: Absolutely, our time is only concerned with meeting your needs and are excited to provide different avenues to you reaching optimum health

Q: What should I do to help my recovery post massage?

A: It is important to drink lots of water to flush out toxins released during the massage. Depending on prior activities light walking, stretching, and working out will make your soreness go away faster.

Q: Do I have to be completely undressed? What do you wear for a massage?

A: You may undress to your level of comfort. Many people prefer to keep their underwear on during a massage. Your massage therapist will leave the room so you can undress and lie on the massage table under a top sheet. Regardless if you choose to maintain some clothing or not, your massage therapist will always ensure that you are always properly covered.

Q: Will the massage hurt?

A: In general, massages should not hurt. In fact, if you are in pain during a massage, this may cause your muscles to seize up, making the relaxing effects more difficult to achieve. If the pressure is too intense, speak up immediately so your therapist can adjust. Certain techniques may result in soreness during the days following a massage, similar to that of a great workout. It is important to remember sore but safe. Now if you are begining to have pain in the 5-6 out of 10 it is best for you to call us. Patients with chronic pain and systemic conditions (vitamin defeciencies, thyroid problems, auto-immune conditions etc..) will commonly take time along with backing down intensity of massage for the nervous system not to present post massage with such a high pain feeling.

Q: What if I fall asleep and snore or drool?

A: It is very common for guests to fall asleep during their massage. If you snore or drool, don’t worry, seeing you relaxed is the highest compliment you can give us : )
